Job Description:
We are seeking an English-speaking Marketing Coordinator / Virtual Assistant to support our marketing agency (and Explorer Series specifically) with various administrative, writing, and marketing management tasks. This role includes the following responsibilities:
- Writing, designing, and scheduling social media posts.
- Conducting online research.
- Crafting and distributing email newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Managing communications with clients and contractors.
- Email and schedule management.
- Copywriting and editing documents and email newsletters.
- Intern communications.
- Website content updates.
- Other digital marketing tasks as assigned.
Skills:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications:
- Excellent writing and editing abilities.
- Strong organizational and management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency as an active social media user in Facebook and Instagram.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in social media copywriting and editing for business.
- Experience using Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite (or similar social media dashboard tools) for social media post scheduling.
- Experience with Canva and designing social graphics.
- Experience using WordPress for content / blog updates.
Requirements:
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience in remote working environments.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Virtual Assistant or Marketing Coordinator.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training / experience.
- Flexible availability, most but not all weekdays, during business hours. Evening and weekend work is ok.
- Available for weekly engagement through phone or Google Meet video calls.
- Passion for outdoor activities (such as active hiking, trail running, dog walking, nature exploration, or kayaking, etc.).
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Capability to test local trails or Fraser Valley city-based activities.

- Experience in a marketing agency.
- Experience in utilizing ChatGPT for business purposes.
- Experience with Google and Facebook advertising.
- 3+ years in business social media writing and posting.
- Hootsuite training certificate.
- Digital marketing agency experience.

- Familiarity with Monday.com.
